Canon lenses can be extremely expensive, so making the right choice is essential. You don’t want to spend $1000 on a lens only to find out later that it doesn’t suit your needs. If you are just starting out or if you have limited budget it can be even more difficult to make the right lens choice and on this website I hope to make that decision a little easier and less frustrating for you.

When it comes to SLR photography I believe that the choice of lens is much more important than the choice of camera, so this is why I focus this site mainly around the lenses instead of the cameras. There are tons of sites online that provide detailed reviews and comparisons of SLR cameras, but very few that offer good information on lenses, so I hope that the reviews you find here will fill that gap for you.

As you can see above, this site contains articles on the best canon lenses for specific applications (like weddings, portraits, etc.) as well as detailed reviews of many individual Canon lenses. For the more popular lenses like the 24-70mm f/2.8L and the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II I also provide extra testing information on things like vignetting, chromatic aberration and much more. In addition to what you find on this site I also suggest that you visit some of the Canon lens reviews submitted to online shops like Amazon, B&H Photo and Adorama…these shops are a great source of unbiased, real customer feedback of photography equipment.
